Learners

Are you aged over 16?

Are you in full-time employment and feel you could benefit from a structured learning plan?

Do you want to achieve a nationally recognised qualification?

Do you want to earn while you learn?

If your answers to the above were yes, then an Apprenticeship is for you.

Apprenticeships offer you the opportunity to learn and gain formal recognition of your skills whilst working. The range and variety of Apprenticeship schemes in the UK is vast, and there is almost certainly likely to be something suitable for your needs and career path.

As an Apprentice you will follow a structured learning path, determined between us, your employer and the skills council in your industry. You will follow this structured learning path whilst working, learning from your colleagues. At regular intervals your skills will be assessed via demonstration and discussion with a member of our assessment team. There might also be a small element of off-the-job training at one of our training centres, where you will learn Functional Skills, including:

  • English
  • Mathematics
  • Information Communication Technology

On successful completion of the Apprenticeship scheme you will hold a formally recognised qualification in the form of an NVQ Level 2 or 3.

Apprenticeships are funded by the Skills Funding Agency, so there is little or no additional cost to you or your employer other than the wage or salary they already pay you.
